About

What’s so special about the location of Birkenhof?

Mr Schneider: Our guests cherish this calm and idyllic area of Lech for their winter holiday. The free buses enable our guests to abandon their cars to explore Lech – a bus stop is directly in front of our house. The guests love to put on their skies in front of the house and start the day by joining the ski route „Weißer Ring”. After a day in the mountains advanced skiers can – depending on snow conditions – ski straight to the house.

Why do your guests like your apartments so much?

Mrs Schneider: Through conversations with guests I understand that our apartments are well received because of their generous sizes and comfort. In particular when the weather is bad, they offer great flexibility and the possibility to cook a small meal at any time. Especially guests, who have to go to lots of business lunches or dinners, enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and not having to stick to a timetable.

The ski resort Arlberg is well known and highly rated by many. Why do you think that is?

Mr Schneider: It’s definitely the quality of the lifts and slope preparations, but also the fantastic snow conditions which are guaranteed every year due its altitude. And don’t forget the versatile slopes.

Is the Arlberg also in summer a holiday destination?

Mrs Schneider: Absolutely. Our winter guests are always impressed how beautiful the summer here is. Zug is 1500m above sea level, which makes this area ideal for hikers and climbers.

The new hike Grünen Ring (established in summer 2010) is one of our great summer attractions and takes you through the beautiful mountain country side. Or if you are more adventurous you can stay a night at the Biwackschachtel. It’s a little hut in the mountains, surrounded by mountain goats and breathtaking views – a must for any mountain and nature lovers. The area around Lech is prefect to go mountainbiking. Lech offers also in Summer great activities and we are certain anyone can find exciting things to do.
